Cooperation Agreement between Miroslava, Iași, and Cușmirca, Șoldănești, Republic of Moldova

On Friday, October 17, 2025, the official signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement between Miroslava Commune, Iași County, and Cușmirca, Șoldănești District, Republic of Moldova, took place.

The document symbolizes a new stage in strengthening the ties between the two communities on both sides of the Prut River and was signed by the mayors Dan Niță and Silvia Moscalu.

Through this partnership, the local authorities aim to develop joint projects in various fields such as public administration, economy and trade, education, culture, youth and sports, tourism, and healthcare. The goal is to encourage the exchange of experience and to create new opportunities for regional development.

The event was attended by Professor Dr. Grigore Tinică, Director of the “Prof. Dr. George I.M. Georgescu” Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Iași, as well as by the Mayor of Costuleni Commune, Mirică Dodan. The moment held a special emotional significance for Dr. Grigore Tinică, originally from Cușmirca, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between Romanian localities separated by the Prut River.

The signed agreement is not merely an administrative act, but a true bridge of friendship and unity between two communities that share the same language, history, and European aspirations.
