Moldovan president met delegations of Weimar Triangle countries

President Maia Sandu convened today with representatives from the Weimar Triangle alliance, including German Minister of State for Europe and Climate, Anna Lührmann, Polish Minister for European Affairs, Adam Szłapka, and French Ambassador to Moldova, Paul Graham. The meeting served as a crucial platform to discuss Moldova’s progress towards European Union accession, regional security concerns, and other pertinent issues, according to the presidential press service.

During the discussions, President Sandu expressed appreciation for the steadfast support extended by Germany, Poland, and France, particularly in facilitating the commencement of accession negotiations. The Weimar Triangle, consisting of France, Germany, and Poland, operates as a collaborative forum promoting various initiatives, including support for Ukraine and the enlargement of the European Union. This trilateral cooperation underscores a shared commitment to regional stability and European integration efforts across the continent.
