The new Minister of Energy of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Junghietu, has taken the oath of office

The new Minister of Energy of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Junghietu, has taken the oath of office in the presence of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, and the Prime Minister, Dorin Recean.

Maia Sandu thanked the new minister for assuming responsibility in such a complex sector and emphasized that completing the construction of the Vulcănești – Chișinău high-voltage line, in accordance with the established terms, is essential for strengthening the country’s energy security.

The President also highlighted the importance of renewable energy, noting that the development of these sources not only enhances energy security but also helps reduce costs for citizens. During the ceremony, Maia Sandu publicly thanked everyone for their efforts in saving electricity and expressed confidence that the Government will continue to implement key projects and introduce new measures aimed at bolstering the Republic of Moldova’s energy independence.
