Gold reaches new records, both on international markets and at the BNR exchange rate

Gold reached new all-time highs on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, both on international markets and at the BNR rate. The price of one gram of gold increased to 452.2632 lei, compared to 445.0254 lei/gram announced by the BNR yesterday, marking an all-time record for this unit of measurement. The previous record was 450.2987 lei/gram.

Internationally, gold also rose, reaching $2,961.00 per ounce for Futures quotes with delivery in April 2025, while on the Spot market it reached $2,946.75 per ounce. At around 14:20 (Romanian time), the Futures quotes for deliveries in April 2025 were at $2,951.20 per ounce, and the Spot prices had stabilized at $2,934.20 per ounce.
