Maia Sandu to Attend Paris Peace Forum: Opportunities for Economic Cooperation and Sustainable Development

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will participate on Wednesday, October 29, in the 8th edition of the Paris Peace Forum, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, according to the Communication Directorate of the Moldovan Presidency.

Launched in 2018 at President Macron’s initiative, the Forum annually brings together heads of state, policymakers, and international experts to identify solutions to global challenges, ranging from peace and security to sustainable development and democratic governance.

At the Forum, Maia Sandu will deliver a speech at a session dedicated to information integrity and the role of independent media, highlighting the importance of transparency and accurate information flow for economic stability and attracting foreign investment. The Moldovan leader will emphasize how a free and objective press can support economic growth, prevent corruption, and strengthen the trust of international partners.
