Meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova, Valeriu Chiveri, and OSCE Special Representative Thomas Lenk on Transnistrian Negotiations

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova, Valeriu Chiveri, held a meeting with Thomas Lenk, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairmanship-in-Office, focusing on the current stage of negotiations for the Transnistrian settlement, reports IPN.

The dialogue addressed recent developments in the main dossiers under management and the priority measures implemented by national authorities to promote sectoral reintegration policies. The meeting emphasized the importance of creating a stable and predictable framework conducive to economic cooperation and investment in the Transnistrian region.

Officials assessed both the progress achieved and the persistent challenges in the negotiation process, highlighting the essential role of the OSCE in facilitating dialogue and fostering rapprochement between the two banks of the Dniester. This collaboration supports both political stability and regional economic development prospects.

At the conclusion of the discussions, Valeriu Chiveri and Thomas Lenk agreed to maintain regular consultations and interactions to accelerate the implementation of objectives from the Transnistrian settlement agenda and to support economic and infrastructure projects contributing to the cohesion and sustainable development of the region.
