Over USD 1 Million to Modernize Ukraine’s Healthcare System: 20 EXTRON 7 Radiology Systems Distributed Across 16 Regions

Ukraine strengthens its healthcare system with modern medical equipment

With the support of the Republic of Korea, Ukraine has received 20 mobile EXTRON 7 C-arm X-ray systems designed for use in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the equipment has been distributed to medical facilities in 16 regions of the country, including the Chernivtsi region.

Equipment distributed across 16 regions of Ukraine

The new medical systems have been delivered to hospitals in the regions of Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy and Chernivtsi, as well as to the capital city of Ukraine.

The total value of the medical equipment provided exceeds USD 1 million, contributing to the modernization of diagnostic and treatment capacities at Ukrainian medical institutions.

C-arm systems provide real-time imaging during medical procedures

Mobile C-arm X-ray systems allow doctors to obtain radiographic images directly during medical procedures. The equipment can be used particularly in operating rooms, trauma units and surgical departments, where real-time imaging helps medical teams monitor procedures and make the necessary decisions quickly.

Greater mobility for rapid medical interventions

An important advantage of these systems is their mobility. According to the Ministry of Health, the equipment can be moved between operating rooms and other areas of medical facilities according to existing needs.

This flexibility is particularly important when treating patients with complex trauma and injuries, for whom rapid diagnosis and real-time monitoring during procedures can play a crucial role in the delivery of medical care.

International support for the modernization of Ukraine’s healthcare system

The provision of 20 EXTRON 7 systems represents a further contribution by the Republic of Korea to strengthening Ukraine’s healthcare infrastructure. Distributing the equipment across several regions expands access to modern imaging technologies and improves hospitals’ capacity to perform complex medical procedures.
