Republic of Moldova | Prime Minister-designate Alexandru MUNTEANU announces first three names for his future Cabinet

Prime Minister-designate Alexandru Munteanu of the Republic of Moldova has announced the first three appointments for his upcoming Cabinet, marking an initial step in forming the government team responsible for managing key sectors such as health, justice, and culture.

Health and Structural Reforms
Professor Emil Ceban, a habilitated doctor in medical sciences and rector of the Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy, will lead the Ministry of Health. His academic and managerial experience is expected to support the modernization of the healthcare system and optimize public spending, with potential positive effects on labor productivity and healthcare-related economic costs.

Justice and Institutional Stability
Vladislav Cojuhari, currently the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been designated as Minister of Justice. Strengthening judicial independence and efficiency is crucial for attracting foreign investments, accessing European funds, and providing predictability for the business environment, reducing economic risks related to litigation and corruption.

Culture and Creative Economy
Journalist and media manager Cristian Jardan, former political advisor in Prime Minister Dorin Recean’s Cabinet, will head the Ministry of Culture.
