Restoration of electricity supply in four districts of the Republic of Moldova, with support from Romania’s power grid

Romania provided new support to the Republic of Moldova, contributing to the restoration of electricity supply in several affected districts.
Cause of the outages
The Ministry of Energy reports that the power outages in the districts of Nisporeni, Fălești, Hâncești, and Ungheni were caused by a broken conductor on the line supplying the Nisporeni electrical substation. The failure was generated by unfavorable weather conditions, particularly strong winds.
Intervention of technical teams
Specialized teams intervened promptly to identify and resolve the issue, acting swiftly to limit the impact on consumers.
Restoration of electricity supply
Authorities announced that, at 14:26, all affected consumers had their electricity supply restored through alternative circuits, including the use of the 110 kV line Țuțora (Romania) – Cioara (Moldova).
