EU is preparing an aid package for Ukraine worth nearly 700 billion euros

The European Union is preparing to release an aid package worth hundreds of billions of euros for the purchase of military equipment destined for Ukraine. The German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, detailed that the value of this support could reach approximately 700 billion euros.
“We will launch a huge package, unlike anything seen before on this scale,” Baerbock said in an interview with Bloomberg during the meeting in Munich.
She stressed that peace will only come through strength and that it is essential to ensure firm and long-term security guarantees for Ukraine, a strong NATO, and progress in Ukraine’s accession negotiations to the European Union.
“As Europeans, as Germans, we are firmly on Ukraine’s side – providing military, humanitarian, and financial support. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Europeans have supported Ukraine with over 134 billion euros, and Germany has contributed nearly 44 billion euros,” Baerbock added.
