Ukraine Expands Its Military Contract Package: Salaries of up to UAH 120,000 per Month for Specialists

The 36th Brigade and the Regional Recruitment Center Presented New Military Service Opportunities

Representatives of the Regional Recruitment and Social Support Center of the Chernivtsi Region, together with representatives of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade “Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi”, presented during a briefing the latest enlistment opportunities in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The event provided information on the types of contracts available, remuneration levels, contract duration, and the military specialties currently facing the highest personnel demand.

The 36th Separate Marine Brigade, widely recognized for its role in the defense of the city of Mariupol, is currently deployed on the Donetsk front and continues its recruitment campaign to reinforce its personnel.

Military Specialties in Highest Demand

According to brigade representatives, recruitment covers a wide range of military and technical professions. Among the specialties with the greatest demand are IT specialists, engineers, unmanned systems (drone) operators, mechanics, drivers, platoon commanders, as well as personnel for command and staff positions.

Applicants may choose from several enlistment pathways, including mobilization, transfer from another military unit based on a recommendation letter, enrollment through the digital application “Armia+”, or by signing a military service contract.

Contract Options Tailored to Military Specialties

During the briefing, officials presented several categories of military service contracts tailored to different personnel groups and operational requirements. Standard contracts are concluded for periods of three or five years, while one-year special contracts are available for infantry units. Operators of unmanned systems may sign two-year contracts.

The authorities also introduced the new incentive-based contracts, as well as the legal mechanisms allowing individuals who had previously left military units without authorization to return to military service under the conditions established by Ukrainian legislation.

Financial Benefits Depending on the Mission

Representatives of the Regional Recruitment and Social Support Center stated that personnel serving in assault and infantry units may benefit from fixed-term contracts and additional financial incentives. For participation in combat missions, total remuneration may reach an average of UAH 360,000 to UAH 400,000 over the duration of the contract.

Drone operators, artillery personnel, and electronic warfare specialists are offered two-year contracts. Monthly salaries are determined according to the complexity and level of operational risk and range between UAH 30,000 and UAH 120,000.

In addition, logistics and administrative positions—including technicians, administrative personnel, and cooks—are available under two-year contracts, with monthly salaries ranging from UAH 30,000 to UAH 70,000.

Admission to Military Educational Institutions Continues Until the End of August

The briefing also included information regarding the ongoing admission campaign for Ukraine’s military educational institutions, which will continue until 31 August. Interested candidates are encouraged to seek additional information from territorial recruitment centers or directly from the military educational institutions to which they intend to submit their applications.
