TOPIC: „Cross-border cooperation and future perspectives”

Mykola Kutsak, President of the Chernivtsi District Council, began his presentation at the „Investment Panel” by highlighting the importance of economic and social relations between Romania, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing the need to continue and intensify cross-border cooperation in the current context.

Strong economic and social relations

Mykola Kutsak emphasized in his message the wealth of ideas and information brought by the event.

„Today has been very full, full of emotions, full of information, and absolutely full of new contacts, which are very important to us”, he noted.

Mykola Kutsak discussed the positive relationships established between the Chernivtsi region and various districts in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

„In Chernivtsi, we have established positive economic and social relationships with the districts of Suceava, Botoșani, and Iași. These connections have been essential for the implementation of important projects funded by the European Union”, added the President of the Chernivtsi District Council.

Development and infrastructure projects

In his speech, he highlighted various development projects carried out in collaboration with partners from Romania and Moldova.

„We have carried out many projects funded by the European Union: medical, social, cultural, economic, and infrastructure projects. One of these, currently under development, is the improvement of transport infrastructure”, emphasized Mykola Kutsak.

The need for continued collaboration

In the current geopolitical context, Mykola Kutsak stressed the importance of continued collaboration and mutual support.

„In this new geopolitical context, we need collaboration and support more than ever. Russia is an occupier in Ukraine, and in this case, military aid from Romania and other European countries is essential”, said the President of the Chernivtsi District Council.

The President of the Chernivtsi District Council also emphasized the need to rebuild and develop Ukraine, mentioning that „We must rebuild and develop our country. We are talking about cooperation in economic, social, and cultural fields, as well as in education and science.”

Future perspectives

In conclusion, Mykola Kutsak emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation, expressing hope for a better future.

„I am absolutely sure that together we will achieve many beneficial activities for our countries. In particular, we can collaborate in the fields of education, economy, and culture. Our trilateral forum Ukraine-Romania-Moldova has immense potential.”

„Thank you for your attention and Glory to Ukraine! Thank you very much!”, concluded the President of the Chernivtsi District Council, reaffirming the commitment to cross-border cooperation and regional development.
