Moldova Invest in dialogue with Andrei STOIAN, partener of Brisk Group

Founded in 2016, Brisk Group has experienced sustained growth throughout its existence, quickly becoming a leader in the local construction consultancy market.

Currently, in addition to its headquarters in Bucharest, the company also owns and operates two offi ces outside the country – one in London and the other in Chișinău – with the help of a team of over 80 specialists.

Please provide us with a brief description of your company in terms of its scope of activity, infrastructure, and economic targets.

Brisk Group is a market leader in construction consultancy, providing project, cost, and construction management services. Our company operates from offi ces established in Bucharest, London, and Chișinău, with a team of over 80 professionals. The projects we undertake span various sectors including offi ce, residential, industrial-logistics, retail, airport infrastructure, energy, etc.

Despite the global economic challenges, which we have somewhat become accustomed to in recent years, we can say that 2023 was a good year for Brisk Group, as we managed to achieve our target of increasing turnover.

Essentially, after concluding the best year in our history, we entered 2024 with a portfolio comprising over 500 completed or ongoing projects, with a cumulative value of approximately 3 million euros. Of course, our plans do not stop here! We aim to expand our portfolio across all segments of the real estate market – residential, office, retail, industrial-logistics – and strengthen our presence (and expertise!) in other sectors where we are already involved.

Here, I would like to mention our involvement in the development of aviation infrastructure projects, with particular importance being the NEOM International Airport project in Saudi Arabia, which is a complex and large-scale project scheduled for completion in 2027. In this regard, we continue to rely on our partnership with the British Aviation Group (BAG), an internationally renowned organization, of which we became members in the fall of 2022.

As a stimulant for the company’s local growth, it is worth mentioning that last autumn, Brisk Group was awarded the title of Supplier to the Royal Household, further adding to the prestige and recognition we enjoy in the Romanian construction consultancy and project management market.

When did you enter, and what were the reasons for your decision to enter the Moldovan market? How do you currently evaluate this decision?

The Republic of Moldova has been a focus for us since the early years of our company’s operation. We had the opportunity to collaborate with one of Europe’s largest retailers Kaufland, and we are proud of the projects we have developed in Chișinău, Orhei, and Ungheni. We have great confi dence in the development potential of the Republic of Moldova, and through our experience, we can contribute to improving infrastructure and multiplying industrial-logistics spaces.

How do you evaluate the development prospects of the company you represent in Moldova until 2030?

The development prospects of Brisk Group in the Republic of Moldova are promising until 2030. We are focused on consolidating our position as a market leader and expanding our project portfolio, considering the increasing investments in both public and private infrastructure. We are optimistic that our experience and expertise will signifi cantly contribute to the modernization of infrastructure and the improvement of construction standards in the region.

What expectations do you have from the authorities in the Republic of Moldova regarding your activities?

We expect the authorities in the Republic of Moldova to support the development of a stable legislative and regulatory framework that facilitates foreign investments and promotes quality standards in construction. Additionally, we anticipate fruitful collaborations with governmental institutions to ensure the effi cient implementation of our projects and to contribute to the sustainable development of the construction sector in Moldova.
