Presentation of Frumushika-Nova, Bugeac Region, Ukraine

The Frumushika-Nova Farm Began to Be Reborn in the Summer of 2006 on the Site of Former Moldovan Villages: Frumushika-Nova, Roșia, Cantemir, Zurum, Destroyed in the Summer of 1946 to Make Way for a Military Training Ground

The founders of the farm have deep roots in this place, as Andrei Diomidovici Palariev (Pălărie), our father and grandfather, born in 1933, came from the village of Frumushika-Nova.

Today, Frumushika-Nova is not just a farm. It is a unique place where traditions and nature harmoniously merge, offering visitors unforgettable experiences.

The Shepherd Statue in Frumushika-Nova

Frumushika-Nova is home to the world’s tallest granite monument, “The Shepherd of Frumushika-Nova.” It stands 16 meters and 43 centimeters tall (17.93 meters with the pedestal) and weighs 1,080 tons. This monument is listed in the Guinness World Records and Ukraine’s National Registry of Records. It symbolizes our connection to the past and the traditions of shepherding.

Karakul Sheep Breeding

The farm is also renowned as one of the largest Karakul sheep breeding farms in Europe. Visitors can taste and purchase fresh cheese, made following traditional recipes from organic ingredients. The cheese reflects the high quality of our products, crafted in harmony with nature.

Open-Air Ethnographic Museum “The Bessarabian Village of Frumushika-Nova”

The farm also houses an open-air ethnographic museum, a unique place where visitors can explore the culture and traditions of 19th-20th century Bessarabia. This museum recreates the atmosphere of a traditional Bessarabian village, providing an authentic insight into the lifestyle, architecture, and customs of various ethnic groups that lived in the region: Ukrainians, Moldovans, Bulgarians, Gagauz, Germans, and Jews. It offers a glimpse into the history and cultural diversity of Bessarabia.

The Beauty of the Steppes

One of the distinctive features of this place is the endless steppe, which changes its appearance with the seasons. In winter, it resembles a vast tundra; in spring, it turns green and blossoms, rivaling the beauty of forests. Summer brings scorching heat, with an infinite starry sky and deep tranquility, while in autumn, the red steppe becomes the perfect setting for wine and cheese tasting, as well as true relaxation.

Frumushika-Nova is the ideal place to discover traditions, explore nature, and enjoy a unique experience. It harmoniously blends history, culture, and outdoor relaxation.
