The North-East Regional Development Agency (ADR North-East), acting as the Managing Authority, has published the Applicant’s Guide for the Call PR/NE/2024/5/RSO3.2/1– Development and Enhancement of National, Regional, and Local Sustainable, Climate-Resilient, Smart, and Intermodal Mobility, including Improved Access to the TEN-T Network and Cross-Border Mobility.
This project call is non-competitive, with a deadline for project submissions, dedicated to the Administrative-Territorial Units (Counties) of the North-East Development Region.
The financial allocation available for this call is €181,875,294.12 (ERDF + national contribution), of which €154,594,000.00 is from the ERDF and €27,281,294.12 is the national contribution, comprised of co-financing from the state budget and local (municipal) budgets.
The objectives of this priority are the development and enhancement of sustainable, climate-resilient, smart, and intermodal national, regional, and local mobility, including improved access to the TEN-T network and cross-border mobility.
Supported actions within this call include:
- Actions aimed at improving connectivity of secondary road links to the TEN-T road network and nodes through upgrading county roads, constructing new county road segments for connections to highways or expressways.
- Actions aimed at developing solutions for decongesting/smoothing traffic by creating bypasses for cities/towns, creating/upgrading underpasses, road nodes, etc.
- Actions to increase road safety, as an integral part of the previous operations.
- Mandatory actions to ensure investment durability, as an integral part of the previous operations, such as:
- Installation of stations and electric charging points to encourage the use of electric vehicles;
- Creation/restoration of ecological corridors to ensure lateral connectivity;
- Planting of tree alignments along transport routes and parapets for protection, riverbank defenses, and slope consolidations;
- Investments for road protection against the impacts of extreme weather conditions, a consequence of climate change; etc.
- Actions for digitalization to ensure/increase road safety, as applicable;
- Installation of stations/bus bays (targeting a route served by public transport);
- Development of bicycle lanes.
Funding applications can be submitted through the MySMIS 2021/2021+ IT system from April 25, 2024, to April 25, 2025.
The minimum non-reimbursable amount is €5,000,000, while the maximum non-reimbursable amount is €59,400,000.
