Aerostar Bacău Reported a Net Profit of 47 Million Lei in the First Half of 2024, with a Turnover of Nearly 293 Million Lei

Aerostar Bacău has reported a net profit of 47.36 million lei for the first half of 2024, marking a slight increase compared to the same period last year

The company’s turnover reached 292.83 million lei, according to the half-year report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

“Out of the total turnover of 292.833 thousand lei achieved in the first half of 2024, the company sold products and services on the domestic market worth 52.606 thousand lei, while on the external market it achieved the equivalent of 240.227 thousand lei. The upward trend in civil aircraft maintenance continued during the period from January 1 to June 30, 2024, due to increased demand for the two types of aircraft for which Aerostar holds authorizations. Regarding the comparative evolution of sales in the markets, Aerostar recorded an upward trend for exports in Europe,” the report states.

Additionally, Aerostar completed and put into operation investments totaling 12.56 million lei in the first half of 2024. By the end of June, the company employed 1,844 people. The main shareholders of Aerostar Bacău are Iarom S.A. București, holding 71.5% of the shares, and Evergent Investments S.A. Bacău, with a 15.2% stake. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of aviation products, aircraft repair and modernization, and the production and integration of airborne and ground systems for both civilian and defense applications.
