19.5 Million Lei investment for the rehabilitation of one of Botoșani’s most cherished heritage buildings, Casa Goilav

One of the most cherished heritage buildings, Casa Goilav, located at 11 Victoriei Street, near the „Vasilache” Theatre, is set to undergo a complete restoration and be transformed into a Multifunctional Center for Culture and Traditional Art

The estimated investment for this project is 19.5 million lei, equivalent to 4 million euros. The necessary funds will be sourced from the Regional Program managed by ADR Nord-Est.

“We are preserving the county’s heritage! From the beginning of my term, I have been working hard to save as many of the county’s historic buildings as possible. We have prepared mature technical documentation to attract European or national funding for the restoration of heritage buildings. Casa Goilav on Victoriei Street will be transformed into a Multifunctional Center for Culture and Traditional Art, but this requires its rehabilitation. We have identified the funding source, the Nord-Est Regional Program, and the technical project will be completed within the next 75 days,” said Doina Federovici, President of Botoșani County Council.

The technical project, valued at 169,000 lei, will be funded from the County Council’s budget. It will be based on the findings of the Technical Expertise, Historical and Architectural Study, and the Documentation for the Approval of Intervention Works (DALI) already prepared by the county authority.
