Hundreds of state-of-the-art medical equipment have been recently delivered to the “Mavromati” County Emergency Hospital as part of a major project dedicated to preventing nosocomial infections
This project, funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), has a total value of 4 million euros, including VAT. Following the evaluation process, the project achieved an impressive score, ranking fourth nationally with a total of 74 points.
Through this funding, the “Mavromati” County Emergency Hospital has benefited from a total of 415 modern medical devices, essential for improving the quality of medical services provided to patients. Most of this equipment has already been delivered and is operational, and the auctions for the last two batches of equipment are currently underway.
Among the main departments that have been equipped with the new devices are:
- Medical Analysis Laboratories – which will benefit from advanced technologies for rapid and accurate diagnostics.
- Sterilization Service – aimed at ensuring a sterile environment for surgical interventions and treatments.
- Intensive Care Units (ICU) – the modern equipment will support intensive treatments and the monitoring of critically ill patients.
- Operating Room – equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure safer and more effective surgical interventions.
- Maternity Ward – where the new equipment will contribute to improving the care of mothers and newborns.
- Oncology Department – which will benefit from essential technological support in treatments for cancer patients.
- Infection Prevention Service Associated with Medical Care – which will have a significant impact on patient safety.
- Integrated Outpatient Clinic and Emergency Reception Unit – which will be able to provide faster and more efficient services due to the new equipment.
In addition to these achievements, the amounts attracted by the Botoșani County Council from various funding sources, including government and European funds, for modernizing the healthcare system (including new constructions, building rehabilitations, and purchasing medical equipment) exceed 50 million euros. Additionally, the value of three new hospital projects—Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Săveni—is already prepared for submission as soon as the funding axes are opened, signaling a continued commitment from local authorities to improve healthcare services in the region.
