The Botoșani County Council is requesting funds for the construction of two new hospitals. The total value of the project amounts to 150 million euros.

The Botoșani County Council has requested the Ministry of Health to issue the “Opportunity Approval” for including the project “Expansion, Modernization, and Enhancement of Diagnostic Capacity through High-Quality Imaging at the Mavromati Emergency County Hospital in Botoșani” in the National Investment Program for Hospital Infrastructure

This major project, with a total value of 150 million euros, including VAT, involves the construction and equipping of two new hospitals to the highest standards: one pediatric hospital in Botoșani and another in Săveni. The Botoșani County Council will contribute 3 million euros to this project.

“We continue to attract European funds for investments in healthcare infrastructure and state-of-the-art medical equipment. Modernizing the healthcare system has been a priority, and this is clearly reflected in the volume of investments we’ve made since the beginning of the mandate. These 150 million euros that we are securing for the two new hospitals add to the over 50 million euros already invested or currently underway. We promised to take advantage of every funding opportunity, and that is what we are doing”, said Doina Federovici, President of the Botoșani County Council.

The new Pediatric Hospital, with an estimated value in the Feasibility Study of 120 million euros, will be built on the current site of the Pediatric Department on Mihai Eminescu Boulevard in Botoșani. The hospital will have 212 beds for continuous hospitalization, 32 beds for day hospitalization, 10 ICU beds, and 4 operating rooms. It will include an emergency room, day hospitalization units, surgery, ICU, medical analysis and imaging laboratories, pharmacy, recovery and balneology department, pediatric psychiatry, child mental health center, and many more.

The new Săveni Hospital, with an estimated value in the Feasibility Study of 30 million euros, will offer 55 beds for continuous hospitalization (15 for pediatrics and 40 for internal medicine) and 12 beds for day hospitalization. The hospital will include patient admission services, an emergency room, an integrated outpatient clinic, medical analysis and imaging laboratories, a pharmacy, a food block, an oxygen station, and other facilities.
