Ministry of Economy Launches Start-Up Nation Romania Program for Public Consultation! €450 Million Investment!

The Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism has launched for public consultation the pilot project of the implementation procedure for the fourth edition of the successful Start-Up Nation Romania program

This program targets future entrepreneurs and SMEs, offering them the opportunity to benefit from non-reimbursable funding for business development. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals and suggestions to improve the document, thereby contributing to its finalization.

Along with the pilot project of the implementation procedure, the evaluation criteria for funding applications, included in the scoring grid, have also been submitted for analysis. Proposals regarding the differentiation of applicants with equal scores, the addition of new supplementary scoring criteria, and other relevant ideas are expected from those involved.

This edition of the Start-Up Nation Romania program places a special emphasis on acquiring entrepreneurial skills by facilitating access to training courses. The total budget allocated is 450 million euros, with a maximum allocation of 250,000 lei per SME, covering up to 90% of eligible expenses. Each beneficiary will be required to create at least two jobs.

The program will be implemented in three distinct stages: the selection of entrepreneurial course trainers, the application of eligible individuals for these courses, and the establishment of enterprises by certified graduates, who will be able to apply for funding of up to 250,000 lei/SME.
