Romania will export dairy products and fishery products to the Chinese market

Romania will be able to export dairy products and fishery products to the Chinese market, as two protocols were signed on Tuesday in Beijing, according to the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA).

“Two protocols signed today in Beijing will enable the export of dairy products and fishery products from Romania to the Chinese market. A delegation from our country is in the Chinese capital from June 30 to July 4 to expand the economic cooperation partnership between the two states,” the institution said in a statement.

Alexandru Bociu, President of ANSVSA, signed the Protocol for the export of dairy products from Romania to the People’s Republic of China and the Protocol regarding inspection, quarantine, and sanitary requirements for wild aquatic products intended for export from Romania to the People’s Republic of China.

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the signing of the Joint Declaration for establishing a comprehensive partnership of friendship and cooperation between the two states, ANSVSA announced.

On April 21-22, the head of ANSVSA received a delegation from the People’s Republic of China, consisting of representatives from the General Administration of Customs, led by Vice Minister Lyu Weihong.

“Vice Minister Lyu Weihong, during his visit to Romania, discussed, in addition to the main theme of cooperation between the two states in customs matters, also issues related to sanitary and phytosanitary procedures, as well as market access for agricultural products. In this context, on April 21, the President of ANSVSA accompanied the Chinese delegation on a visit to a cattle farm and a milk processing unit in Prahova County. On this occasion, Alexandru Bociu received an invitation from Vice Minister Lyu Weihong to visit the General Administration of Customs in Beijing and to continue discussions,” the statement added.
