Investment project for the sewerage network in Moțca: a commune moving closer to complete infrastructure at european standards
Moțca Commune, located in Iași County, has announced the launch of an important tender for the expansion of its sewerage network—a vital project for modernizing local infrastructure
The project involves the execution of works for the objective “Sewerage Network Expansion in Moțca Commune.”
In an interview with the economic publication Moldova Invest, Constantin-Serioja Hobincă, the Mayor of Moțca Commune, provided essential details about the sewerage network expansion project and its impact on the commune’s development.
The mayor emphasized the significance of this project for Moțca Commune, noting that the funding source is the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
One of the interview questions concerned the number of households that will be connected to the sewerage network. It was revealed that, upon project completion, all residents of the commune will have access to the sewerage network.
Additionally, it was mentioned that “work on the water network is advanced, although a few stages remain to be completed.” Regarding the gas network, the mayor noted that “it is nearly complete,” suggesting a considerable improvement in local infrastructure.
The mayor also addressed the integration of this project into the commune’s overall development plan. “We hope to finish the road paving works, and Moțca Commune will benefit from a complete infrastructure that is much needed by the residents,” highlighting the local administration’s commitment to addressing the population’s needs.
Furthermore, the mayor pointed out that proximity to the A7 Highway and the fact that the A8 Highway passes through the commune will bring additional benefits to the locality, contributing to its development.

- Estimated Value: 7,384,845 RON (excluding VAT). The budget is detailed as follows:
- Land Preparation: 70,000 RON (excluding VAT)
- Environmental Protection and Land Restoration: 1,400 RON (excluding VAT)
- Utilities Relocation/Protection Costs: 4,000 RON (excluding VAT)
- Construction and Installations: 6,715,445 RON (excluding VAT)
- Installation of Machinery, Technological and Functional Equipment: 14,000 RON (excluding VAT)
- Machinery, Technological and Functional Equipment Requiring Installation: 560,000 RON (excluding VAT)
- Site Organization: 20,000 RON (excluding VAT)
- Execution Deadline: The duration of the works must not exceed 12 months.
Project Funding Source
The project is financed by European Union funds through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), call no. PNRR/2022/C1/I.1. The funds come from the National Recovery and Resilience Program, aimed at supporting the development of essential infrastructure.
