Project Objectives
The main objective of this investment is to modernize the existing public lighting network by replacing old equipment with LED street lighting fixtures, which are much more energy-efficient and provide better lighting quality. According to technical specifications, the following types of LED lighting fixtures, equipped with a telemanagement system, will be installed:
- 148 units of 24W LED lighting fixtures;
- 187 units of 53W LED lighting fixtures;
- 116 units of 70W LED lighting fixtures.
Additionally, the project includes the removal of old equipment, installation of support brackets and mounting collars on poles, making electrical connections, and implementing a telemanagement system for efficient control of lighting points.
Benefits of Modernization
Modernizing the public lighting system brings multiple benefits to the Zvoriștea community. Firstly, LED technology contributes to reducing electricity consumption and, consequently, lowering maintenance costs. Secondly, improved street lighting will enhance public safety for both pedestrians and drivers by providing better visibility at night. Lastly, the implemented telemanagement system will allow for more efficient monitoring and management of public lighting, enabling quick intervention in case of malfunctions.
The public street lighting modernization project in Zvoriștea Commune represents an important step toward sustainable community development, demonstrating the local authorities’ commitment to investing in essential infrastructure for improving the quality of life for residents. The second stage of this project promises to bring significant benefits through reduced energy costs and increased public safety, thus contributing to a safer and more efficient urban environment.
