Suceava, closer to securing €400 million from the European Commission through the “Climatic City” program

The Municipality of Suceava has taken a new step towards obtaining €400 million from the European Commission through the “Climatic City” program.

“We participated in Iași, at the Palace of Culture, in the M 100 Conference, which discussed support for cities selected in the mission ‘100 European Smart and Climate-Neutral Cities by 2030.’

The discussion included the selection procedure for the other 10 cities in Romania, in addition to the 3 cities already selected by the European Commission. The Suceava municipality has submitted an investment program, in collaboration with ‘Ștefan cel Mare’ University of Suceava, worth €400,000,000, and an action plan for signing the Climatic City contract with the European Commission. We hope to sign the contract this autumn. In September, this M 100 caravan will arrive in Suceava,” said Suceavațs Mayor Ion Lungu.
