457.4 Million Lei Funding for the „South-West Strategic Road Axis of Vaslui County” Project

The Vaslui County Council (CJ Vaslui) has approved the „South-West Strategic Road Axis of Vaslui County” project for submission to the Regional Program 2021-2027, Investment Priority 5. The project will receive a total funding of 457,451,097 lei including VAT

The total project value is broken down as follows: 400,606,256 lei represents the eligible value; 294,846,204 lei are non-reimbursable funds; 105,760,051 lei is the own contribution; and 56,844,841 lei is the total non-eligible project value.

In June 2024, Vaslui County submitted the „South-West Strategic Road Axis of Vaslui County” project for funding under the North-East Regional Program 2021-2027. On July 26, 2024, the results of the technical and financial evaluation were communicated, with the project meeting the minimum quality score for funding, and the contracting process was initiated.

The „South-West Strategic Road Axis” project aims to modernize two county roads, DJ 243 and DJ 243A, over a total length of 73.146 km. Currently, the roads are affected by structural and surface defects, including wear and tear, cracks, and unevenness. Ciprian Trifan, Vice President of CJ Vaslui, noted that these issues include deterioration due to fatigue, surface cracking, patching, and shoulder failures.
