A decisive year for Vaslui County! Investments of over €130 million through the PNRR for 593 projects

Vaslui County is currently in an intensive phase of implementing projects financed through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with a total of 593 ongoing investments. These projects are spread across 105 administrative units, with a combined funding value exceeding €130 million. At the national level, the county ranks 16th in terms of the number of projects and 37th in terms of total funds attracted.

The year 2026 is considered decisive for local administrations, as the deadline for completing PNRR projects approaches. Ciprian Trifan, President of the Vaslui County Council, told mayors that closer coordination between authorities and clear prioritization of projects that can be completed this year are essential.

According to him, the main objective is to close projects funded through the PNRR, and where this is not possible, solutions will be identified to continue them within multiannual programs. In this context, PNRR remains one of the main priorities for the Ministry of Development throughout 2026.

At the governmental level, the Ministry of Development has achieved significant success in attracting European funds, with the absorption rate increasing markedly from 15% to 66%. Authorities estimate that by the end of 2026, the absorption of available PNRR funds could reach 100%.

In the last months of the previous year, several localities in Vaslui County received financial allocations for projects under implementation. Among them are Murgeni, Codăești, Băcești, Boțești, Dodești, Costești, Dănești, Lipovăț, Tăcuta, and Todirești, with the largest amounts directed to Murgeni, Codăești, and Băcești.

At the national level, PNRR funds totaling over 204 million lei were reimbursed for nearly 200 projects, financed through the Local Fund and Education components. Most of the funds were used for urban planning documentation, territorial development, and the creation of green transport infrastructure.

Additionally, a significant portion of the funds was allocated to the education sector, covering the construction of modern, energy-efficient nurseries that meet European standards, projects designed to enhance local educational infrastructure.
