Intensive Work Underway at Vaslui Hospital No. 2! Investments Exceeding 385 Million Lei

After the completion of the archaeological clearance, construction work has begun at Vaslui Hospital No. 2. The financing contract for this investment, totaling 385,461,599 lei, has already been signed. The new hospital will have 248 beds and will cover a built area of 6,528 square meters.

Construction work for the project “Building New Sections at Vaslui Hospital No. 2” has been initiated by the construction teams. Ciprian Trifan, Vice President of the Vaslui County Council (CJ), stated that the investment has entered the implementation phase, despite a prior stage of archaeological clearance, in accordance with legal provisions.

“We are working at Hospital No. 2 and have completed the archaeological part. We are starting work there because time is very short,” said Ciprian Trifan.

In the first quarter of this year, the handover and acceptance of the site for the investment “Building New Sections at Vaslui Hospital No. 2” took place.

This project, managed by the Vaslui County Council, is funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and will be developed in the courtyard of Vaslui Hospital No. 2, where two new building wings will be constructed.

The hospital will have 248 beds, of which 97 will be new. Out of the new beds, 28 will be allocated for day hospitalization for adults and children, 16 will be for palliative care, and 53 beds will be dedicated to continuous hospitalization across three sections: psychiatry, chronic diseases, and infectious diseases.

A financing contract for this project has been signed, with a total value of 385,461,599 lei. The hospital will feature a newly built area of 6,528.01 square meters and a total developed area of 36,303.01 square meters.

“We also have other ongoing investments in healthcare. We are talking about the Specialty Outpatient Clinic, the Day Hospitalization Center, and the Emergency Reception Unit, which, along with the investment in Hospital No. 2, total over 100 million euros. Our main concern is to provide quality medical services to the entire population of our county,” added the Vice President of CJ Vaslui.
