Vaslui: Investment of 180 million lei for the modernization of the water and sewer system
The Vaslui Local Council has approved a series of modifications to the technical-economic indicators of the water and sewer project. The current project implemented by Aquavas Vaslui does not cover all inhabited areas of the county seat municipality
This program was developed several years ago, and since then, new streets with housing have emerged that are not included in the project. Another issue concerns neighborhoods located in high-altitude areas.
“Now we are adding to the water and sewer system for the entire area of the municipality. This project is under preparation and will be submitted to the relevant ministries. A budget of 180 million lei will be allocated for water and sewer for the municipality of Vaslui. With this amount, Vaslui municipality is included in the county-wide project. The co-financing for this amount is 2%, meaning a local budget contribution of 3.5 million lei,” stated Vasile Pavăl, the mayor of Vaslui municipality.
At the end of September 2024, the environmental agreement for the “Regional Project for the Development of Water and Wastewater Infrastructure in Vaslui County” was revised. The project holder is SC Aquavas Vaslui, for which the environmental agreement was issued on August 1, 2022. The revised project is proposed to be located in Vaslui County, covering 51 administrative-territorial units (ATUs).
